Position:  Business Analyst: 100% data driven key position to deliver continued analyses and insights to improve our business, introducing new directions and modelling.  

Location: Utrecht, the Netherlands
International travel: 10%

Reporting line: VP Operations 

Your role is to actively model, analyse and inform the managers of our organisation to get optimal results out of our services developed, our operational setup and how we approach the different markets. You will play a pivotal role aligning operations and financials in Cycleon’s reverse logistics Supply Chain. This role sits amid our organization, modelling costs, finetuning and predicting operational setup and routing versus revenues and SLA’s. Aiming for operational excellence and delivering optimal client setup.  

Your focus:

  • You are playing a central role supporting the business goals by continuously analysing the business performances, services, profits, controls and operational excellence.  

  • You will be responsible to analyse and connect data provided by the business and translate this to different stakeholders to inform on trends and forecasts.

  • You are managing, analysing and aligning operational, commercial and financial data for internal controls and an optimal purchase-to-cash process.

  • Evaluating the design and calculations of process changes and new requirements to realize continuous improvements.  

  • Providing support to the internal organization e.g. Product Owners, Operations, Sales and Finance to answer queries on business and customer performance.  

  • Create and manage costing models and pricing structures in line with the services offered. Continuously review costing policies, programs, tooling and procedures.

  • You will play a pivotal role in continuously improving our logistics network setup in our rapidly growing organization.

Role requirements:

  • Excellent statistical understanding, strong analytical insight.

  • Analytical skills, being highly proficient in turning data discoveries into profitable solutions and services, analysis and measurable improvements.  

  • Translating and simplifying requirements.

  • Experience in developing sophisticated (complex) costing models, pricing structures, metrics & solutions.  

  • On par with latest IT and BI tools and experience with quantitative analyses.

  • We are currently setting up a reporting environment with Tableau. Experience with Tableau is a pre, but not a must.

Your talents:

  • You love numbers.

  • You have a degree in Mathematics, Economics or Supply Chain management.

  • You have relevant working experience of 2 - 4 years.

  • You are highly motivated, and results focused.

  • You are accurate, detailed and you work in a well-structured manner.  

  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.

  • You possess a strong operational and commercial attitude and interest to solve complexity – able to present your analysis in an easy-to-understand fashion.  

  • You like to work as a member of a multi-disciplined team.

  • You are a self-starter with own initiative, drive and passion for what you do, a practical problem solver taking great pride in your responsibilities and deliverables.  

  • You are flexible and responsibly, you take ownership of your tasks.

  • Decisive and quick-thinking, connecting the dots allows you to see the bigger picture.

  • Unafraid to ask stupid questions and challenge the status quo.

  • Stress resistant, able to prioritize based on business urgency.

  • Excellent business English communication skills to present, both in writing and verbally.
